I’m Iskandar. I write here under the name pascanilai, a Malay word for the appraisal you give something after it’s already done. The trip you came back from. The project you shipped. The argument that cooled.
The essays are short. Most are about craft, taste, software, faith, attention, and how to live well in a world that rewards living fast. I post when I’ve had time to actually think about something, not when the news cycle wants me to.
